Torrin is generally pretty wary of using his sorcery on others for a number of reasons, mostly because it takes a TOLL.
However, he can read minds, and he can tell if you're lying. The latter, he does automatically--so he could tell you're lying but not know what the truth is--for that he'd have to use telepathy.
I'm 100% cool with you opting out of either of them--just toss me a reasonably IC reason why he wouldn't be able to do it so we can be on the same page!
